Visual Management, Single Minute Exchange Of Die ( Smed )...

Introduction: In today’s world, opening or managing a company is very difficult. The Economic crisis, heavy taxation and barriers of entrance in some countries, make it more difficult. But all blame can’t be given to external factors. Most of the times the critical factors are inside the company. So what is the right way of managing a company? In this assignment I studied and analyzed three tools that can help me and are fundamental to success in this business world that is ruled by time and efficiency. The tools I selected are: Visual Management, Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) and Value Stream Mapping. VISUAL MANAGEMENT: In order to continuously improve and progress as an organization, people need to observe, communicate and sharing information. The visual management is a strategy that make information easier to interpret and immediately available. Is such an intuitive strategy, many people don’t even realize that they used it in their daily lives and despites this prevalent outside of work place most of organizations don’t know how to take follow advantage of it. The simplicity of visual management causes many people to overlook its usefulness. Image using a water faucet with impropriate mark handles.
